ELC was involved in the Isimba Power Station project, a 183 MW hydroelectric power station equipped with three vertical-axis Kaplan turbines. ELC’s role in this project mainly focusing on capacity building and dam safety.

Services

  • ELC delivered an in-depth training program designed to strengthen UEGCL’s approach to dam safety management. The program emphasized best practices in dam safety, with a tailored focus on the specific characteristics and operational requirements of the Isimba plant. This initiative not only provided the client with essential theoretical knowledge but also equipped their team with practical tools and methodologies to ensure the continued safety and reliability of their infrastructure.
  • ELC also performed an annual site inspection. This included a thorough evaluation of the dam, spillway, and all associated structures to assess their safety conditions.
