Environmental Engineer – Environmental Impact Assessment & Monitoring

ELC Electroconsult is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team composed of engineers, biodiversity experts, and sociologists. The successful candidate will be primarily involved in preparing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for energy projects and managing environmental monitoring for large infrastructure job sites across Asia, Africa, and South America.

Essential Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in preparing EIAs for energy projects
  • Proficiency in environmental modeling software (specifically for noise and atmospheric pollution)
  • Good knowledge of GIS software
  • Previous experience in environmental monitoring of infrastructure construction sites
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Availability for short-term overseas missions outside Europe (approximately 20% of the time)

 

Additional Requirements (a plus):

  • Knowledge of Spanish and/or French
  • Experience in applying environmental and social standards of international financial institutions
  • Specific experience in geothermal or hydropower projects
  • Proficiency in river/fluvial modeling software
  • Experience in assessing climate change factors and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions within EIAs
CAD Designer

ELC Electroconsult is looking for a CAD Designer / CAD Drafter to join our team. The position involves working on hydropower and civil infrastructure projects at both national and international levels.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma in Surveying (Geometra) or Degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture
  • 3 years of experience in civil design for infrastructure projects
  • Expertise in excavation design, earthworks, temporary works, and open-air/underground civil structures
  • Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Basic knowledge of GIS
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

 

Additional Qualifications (a plus):

  • Experience in designing hydraulic works (dams, spillways, hydraulic tunnels, penstocks) for civil or electromechanical aspects, and familiarity with Civil 3D / BIM software
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French
Junior Geologist

ELC Electroconsult is seeking a Junior Geologist to join our team. The position is involved in national and international projects in the hydropower sector.

Essential Requirements:

  • Geological mapping
  • Structural geology
  • Mineralogy, petrography, and rock identification
  • Geological field surveying experience included in the Master’s thesis
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Proficiency in QGIS or similar software
  • Knowledge of software for structural data analysis (e.g., Dips, StereoNet)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Availability for short-term overseas missions (15 days to 1 month) outside Europe

Additional Qualifications (a plus):

  • Geomechanics, Hydrogeology, Geomorphology, Geotechnics
  • Knowledge of French
