Project

The Upper Trishuli 3B Hydroelectric Project is a run-of-the-river type hydropower plant with installed capacity 37 MW. It is a cascade development project which utilizes the tailrace water of an existing upstream plant (Upper Trishuli 3A HEP).
The Project works comprise a headpond, a 3.66 km long headrace tunnel, a semi-underground surge tank, an underground vertical penstock and a surface powerhouse equipped with no. 2 Francis turbines of 18.5 MW each. The gross head of the project is 89.3 m and the design discharge 51 m³/s.
Financed with Government of Nepal funds.

  • Review and update of Employer’s Design and Tender documents for turnkey contract
  • Assistance to the Employer during bidding phase and contract negotiation
  • Review of EPC Contractor’s basic and detailed design
  • Assistance to the Employer for construction supervision and EPC contract management
  • Transfer of Knowledge to Client’s Staff.
