Jakarta, Indonesia – ELC Electroconsult has been appointed by PLN Persero to implement the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process for the development of the 100 Island REEP Project. This initiative involves the construction of four small hydro plants across Indonesia as part of the country’s ongoing commitment to expanding renewable energy sources.
Lapai SHPP, Kalibumi SHPP, Watunohu SHPP, and Riorita SHPP located on Sulawesi and Papua Islands, Indonesia. Approximately 70 models are planned to represent the civil structures, mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, and hydro steel structures. The BIM implementation includes model authoring, clash detection, code checking, and quantity takeoffs. The supervision of the BIM process implementation throughout construction, up to Level 4D (Timeline and Scheduling) and Level 5D (Cost Analysis and Budget Tracking), is also part of ELC’s services.
